Thank you, for your replies. Slave-whipped asians making radios is
nothing new. I wanted to know who was holding the whip. Apparently it's
Bell an Howell. The thing looks very similar to the Grundig model.

I believe that the Grundig radio is a Tecsun Green 88. I wonder if this
Bell and Howell radio isn't also a Tecsun, or a smaller Chinese maker
ripping off Tecsun (considering how there's virtually no patent
protection in China).


Your sentence implies that some patent protection exists in China.
