Radio Nepal 5005

Finally!!!! After a long time trying, I got them 5/20 at 1433 with
Nepali music and talk. Several mentions of Nepal and Kathmandu, and
one positive ID at 15.14 UTC. A sure giveaway are the time pips at 15
minutes after the hour (Nepal it UTC +5 3/4!). Moderate strength on
an ICF-2001D and a 15 meter amplified randomwire.

I hear they're a bear to QSL though.....

Got two QSL's from them here...

At least hearing them where you're at should be a breeze!

First time for me. I don't know if I've been missing them, or they've
been on an alternate freq (this one is always supposed to be on) or
whether the King had everything clamped down.

I'm hoping for their QSL here in awhile. Bhutan's QSL is still
outstanding. The delay in receipt always seems directly proportional
to the rarity of the station! You've done well to get them QSL'ed
twice!

I did QSL Bhutan with a prepared card which they signed and stamped. At the time I also
included a self-addressed envelope. That was back in 1989 on 5023.1 when they were
running 10 kW.
