Very good receiver, but too small for me, kind of scanner like.

I've owned a 7030 and 7030 plus, with all the kiwa mods and two extra
kiwa premium filter modules. The synchronous detector isn't as good as
the Drake R8B and they aren't quite as sensitive either. Lots of
problems with the early production, since corrected.

I like the way it looks. Many people do.

Indeed - but it's an excellent DX receiver for travelling purposes - like if
you're into bringing a suitable DX receiver along when travelling abroad or
if attending a DX camp. Small size and the weight is ok.
