The hostage takers shot a 2 year old Canadian child b/c he cried too much
during the ordeal. Praise for the Cambodian police reported in ending it.
Heart broken Cdn parents of the baby. Very upsetting.

There were two different reports. One said that the child was killed when there
was a shoot out with police when the kidnappers were trying to get away. They
were not sure if it was the police or the kidnappers who shot the child. This
report was in between two airings of the version you just posted.

This well may be a repetition of what happens in Russia when the police go into
a hostage scene and kill more people than the hostage takers.

If enough witnesses come forward, there may be an answer in the future.
