Need Home Stereo AM/FM Antenna
Can anyone recommend an inexpensive home stereo am/fm antenna? I'm
primarily interested in receiving am signals. Thanks! |

Most of those AM/FM stereo radios aren't worth a hoot for picking up
long distance radio stations.Depending on what kind of territory (hills or mountains) you probally would need a good external antenna.Yesterday at the Goodwill thrift store I bought a nice Pioneer model SX-3400 AM/FM stereo radio for $4.00 and two nice RCA speakers for $2.00 each. cuhulin |
Good info on this site, near the bottom half of the page, regarding
reduction of radio noise. Al KA5JGV "David" wrote in message ... On 10 Aug 2005 18:44:45 -0700, "LauraM" wrote: Can anyone recommend an inexpensive home stereo am/fm antenna? I'm primarily interested in receiving am signals. Thanks! http://www.ccrane.com/antennas/am-antennas/index.aspx |
I took about 7 feet of used coax, stripped about 6 feet down to the
wire and made it into a loop, twisting the end back onto itself. Works admirably for free - I think I might make my next one bigger. Not too shabby if you are like me and have way more coax around than you can use. |
Hey! Great idea. Think I'll try that. Thanks!
