The head of Fort Monroe's Training and Doctrine Command, four star general Kevin P.
Byrnes, was fired Tuesday apparently for sexual misconduct according to official
sources.

Other sources however have offered a different explanation for Byrnes' dismissal
which ties in with the Bush administration's unpopular plan to attack Iran and the
staged nuclear attack in the US which would provide the pretext to do so.

According to reporter Greg Szymanski, anonymous military sources said that Brynes
was the leader of a faction that was preparing to instigate a coup against the neo-
con hawks in an attempt to prevent further global conflict.

Indications are that, much like popular opinion amongst the general public, half the
military oppose the neo-con's agenda and half support it.

Further revelations were imparted by journalist Leland Lehrman who appeared today on
The Alex Jones Show.

Lehrman's army sources, including a former Captain in intelligence, became outraged
when they learned that the official story behind 9/11 was impossible.

Lehrman said that other sources had told him all army leave had been cancelled from
September 7th onwards, opening the possibility for war to be declared within that

The only part of that fairy tale that was true was where the four star
had his command yanked. The rest of it is typical schizo ranting.

In another time the military would have given him a letter of reprimand
for banging some honey while still married. The military is under
pressure to put on the cleanest of all faces possible so they are going
overboard on cases like this.

I've got mixed feelings about this situation. On the one hand he is a
career soldier who knows the rules about conduct unbecoming a soldier
and the need for senior officers to set an example by their actions.
On the other hand I am somewhat troubled by the decision to ruin the
final hours of this guys career by yanking his command. I doubt that
they will go further with charges. Something less severe like a letter
of reprimand or strong dressing down by Rumsfeld would have been
appropriate imho.

I did a Google news search for this story and I found no sources to
back up this theory that it was Byrnes' policy beliefs, let alone any
"coup" that led to this demoting. (Be VERY CAREFUL with that word
"coup" - it implies treason.) Of course, you can find just about any
conspiracy theory from any point of view you want on the internet and
"the man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest".

Interestingly, both the leftish Amy Goodman (Democracy Now/ Pacifica)
and the rightish or whatever Arianna Huffington say very similar
things.

Both say that Byrnes was demoted over adultery and both say that it is
a bit strange that the army seems to regard torture of prisoners as
less important than adultery.

The whole "movie" is done to try and not be a movie at all. In the spirit of
H.G. Wells and "War of the Worlds" this 'movie' attempts to seem like an
actual news broadcast. You watch as a normal news day turns into a national
crisis. A group of anti-nuclear activists has assembled a make-shift atomic
device of comparable yield to the ones that destroyed Hiroshima and
Nagasaki. Thier demands are US nuclear disarmament, in the hopes that if
they forced the US to make the first move, the USSR would follow suit by
disarming in turn. The plot isn't very plausible, even by 80's standards,
but the film is interesting and enjoyable to watch.

And...

Special Bulletin is a TV movie about nuclear bomb threat in Charleston S.C.
and how on television network responses to crisis, when one of their
newcrews becomes in invovled. I really liked this movie, because of the way
that the network reacts to the crisis. In the beginning there is concern for
the hostages, but as the continues you see graphics and music being
developed. And it becomes less about the hostages and more about get the
story. Overall its a good movie.

I read an article at www.rense.com last week about that movie.War
of the Worlds is one of my favorite old movies.I saw the movie at the
old Paramount theater that used to be on Capitol Street in Jackson back
in the 1950's when it first came out.That movie scared the crap out of
me.
