Have you ever been to their store? I used to drive up about twice a
year from just south of Dayton, till I moved to Florida late in 1987.
They sold damaged equipment by the pound in a small room in the front
corner of their old location. Sometimes you could find several of an
item and spend a little time to repair the best unit. They had a lot of
obsolete parts at great prices, too. I just found two of their old
catalogs the other day: 1982 & 1986.

They had the R-390 receivers for $450 and a Hammurlund SP-600-JT for
$285 in 1982. If you were into BCB DX, they had the R-101/ARN-6 for
$39.50.

They had the R-390 receivers for $335 and a Hammurlund SP-600-JT were
gone in 1986. If you were into BCB DX, they had the R-101/ARN-6 for
$65.00.

I am not knocking their store at all,in fact,I say Good on em.But
Lima,Ohio (O H 10) is between 600 to 700 miles from my driveway and I am
just not up to pedaling my pedal car that far anymore.Lima,Ohio has a
very nice Museum though.I saw it on the internet about five years
ago.Rosie, last I heard from her (she is about 58 years young nowdays)
works at a factory in Lima (Philips factory) that makes steel bands for
tv screens.She is a supervisor there,last I heard from her.She married a
guy by the last name of Murphy,he used to own or was part owner of a pub
in the East side of New York City.Rosie is a great gal, just take my word
for that.She is a real Republican too,Good on yer,Rosie.
