cuhulin: I think their good, but that depends on ones need. Their is
no shortwave in Model 2. But it does give a nice deep tone & sterio
sound in AM & FM mode. In fact it sounds nicer then my Sony ICF 2010.

I also like the old fashion look to it.

Basically, for a small desk top, it has a good sound.

The Tivoli ''Model'' series (and the PAL, I think) has an excellent FM
discrete component front-end. That is their strong point. They
pick-up FM as well as any receiver made.

But since FM is not shortwave, expect flames.

Ah, but it's 'real' radio, 'tard boy, not that satellite crap you shill for.

Run along now and leave the 'real' radio to the big boys.

I own a Tivoli Model One and a Model Two; I saw no need to have a
subwoofer with the latter because the sound is bassy and there is no
way to adjust it (no tone controls -- I have actually written to Tivoli
about the need to incorporate at least a single control).
AM performance is decent with an AM loop (the radio is deaf without
it). I use the Model One as an external speaker with my Lowe 225 and
since the radio has a tone control, the combination works perfectly for
me.
