I know it shocked me no end when I heard this last night. I thought only
mullahs wrote such things.. guess I was wrong. I do know this.. that no
Christian leader should be advocating assassination.

Do you remember his claim that "God told me to run for president"?
Well it looks like it is a good thing that he didn't get the votes
needed to put his views into action.

I agree with you, it is not a Christian view. I wonder how it will
affect his membership? ;-)

I wouldn't expect it to have a meaningful impact on his membership. It
might even help him. One of his problems is his influence is declining
as his base gets older. The current members have been watching him for
years, and this isn't the first time he's taken a strong stand.

It's probably years since he's gotten this much free publicity.
