"Jim Driscoll" wrote in message . .. This newsgroup has gotten too weird--enjoy the remaining company. I know and agree. I post less and less now. I don't want to get involved with the political posts in here though I read some. I came here in the first place to read and learn about shortwave radios. And guys like RHF, Mark Holden, dxAce, Dale and Pete helped me out. That was like a couple years ago. Since then, I noticed a big change. More depressing OT posts that just ruin your mood and bring out the raw brutality of your heart and soul whether it be right or wrong. On top of that, many of us are mellow fellows getting up there in age and don't need to get our pressure up for something not necessary. Number one posting here about political beefs will not change a thing about them. You can post here 100 times a day, 24/7 about your grievances and illegal actions of our gov't and it will not change anything but the longevity of your keyboard. Plus you'll get into arguments with nice folks in here that were your radio buddies and people you looked forward into reading from everyday. Now that you've disrespected each other, inside yourself knowing their political views don't match yours, you "don't like them as much now" Now you already have alienated them. By doing so, you're also alienating yourself from the radio hobby itself by coming to a radio forum for *enjoyment and reading about *deep OT politics. There are places just for that. People who love to argue all day long. WHY people insist on coming here to post about **** other then SHORTWAVE RADIO is beyond me. So, I still come here, do some reading but don't hang out here like I used to. Plus, there are some guys in here I really like and respect so they keep me coming back too. Have a good one Lucky |
