I don't understand the whole process of creating and managing usenet newgroups very well. However, there are things that can be done about this problem, if people get sufficiently ticked off. It's sad to imagine this group as 'moderated', but who knows....maybe that's what it will take. Steve |

You should feel sorry for someone who is so pitiful that he lives his entire life through this newsgroup, who cannot put together a coherent argument, and can only repeat the same potty-mouth potshots. He obviously does not have the courage to venture into a real political discussion where people would disagree with him, and he clearly does not even have the intellect to join a forum where the majority would agree with him. He may have a ham license, but he is probably a lid and an appliance operator who does not know which end of the soldering iron is hot. |

Hmm. Yeah. I'd forgotten that, when our international friends need
reassurance or general insight into America's political climate, the first and most natural place for them they look is rec.radio.shortwave. I keep lapsing back into the old belief that this is a hobbyist newsgroup, when of course its true purpose is to assuage the fears of our international friends, who are thoroughly dependent upon rec.radio.shortwave as their primary source of news and information. In fact, given the vast geopolitical importance of rec.radio.shortwave, I wonder why you don't hear more about it in the 'mainstream' media, or why so few posts turn up here from major political figures. Weird. |
Our " International Freinds" , fully realizing that , by electing George Bush to office, the American people have deprived a villiage somewhere of it's Idiot, and - Watching our country bungle the chance to capture Osama Bin Laden at Tora Bora and watching our country Destroy our international good will after 9/11 with a vanity war in Iraq and.. Seeing our countrys actions become a recruiting tool for Al Quaeda.. - really do Not need a reminder that we , as a country, are on the wrong track, and will remain there for at least three more years. What are you thinking? Don't reply to me! Your time is too valuable and
should be devoted exclusively to saving the world via your posts to rec.radio.shortwave. |

Why do so many more expensive Shortwave Radios nowdays have so many
digital led front panels (and some people want a blue led front panel instead of the green front led panel (or vicer versa) the radios came from the factory with) and those little bitty push buttons and computerized interface chips and so much software that must be used with or without computers. Why can't a company or companies design and manufacture Shotwaves Radios similar to the Shortwave Radios of the 1940's and 1950's at least in style? Radios that are pure Shortwave and no AM/FM/and that other stuff (bells and whistles) that most people wouldn't hardly ever use or care about anyway. Why is it that nowdays, two bits worth of plastic (plastic cases that will melt in a car in the hot sun) radio cases for radios every year or so in a new style like womens new dresses and shoes) has to be designed and put on the market when actually it is the same o same o two bits worth of cheap plastic,do they really think they are buying a better radio? Ooooo,, that new radio looks soooo neat!,I must buy it because it looks different than my last years radio even though it is the same o same o! cuhulin |

As far as I know, you can send the messages to any folder you want, depending on the filters you specify. Nothing says everything you filter HAS to go to the garbage can. That's the way with most civilized newsreaders/email agents. I don't know about Outlook or Outlook Express, as they are virus magnets. Mozilla or Netscape are fine in this regard. Go to Tools, Message filters to specify. mike |
Mark Zenier, maybe you should try some esterone instead?
