I live about two miles Southwest of Hawkins Field Airport.Easy to pick
up with any of my old beat up Goodwill radios that have an Air frequency
channel.Jackson International Airport is about twelve miles East of me
in Pearl,Mississippi and a little more difficult to pick up,first of
November 1962,I caught a propeller Airplane to Columbia,South
Carolina, had to wait at Fort Jackson,South Carolina two weeks for a spot
to open at Fort Gordon,Georgia for us lean mean fighting machines to do
out two month boot camp thingy.
