- Not to worry..

They'll find some Independant Contractors on

a streetcorner somewhere & fix that ol' sombitch right up!

- Wonder if you get extra frequent flier points when your aircraft
lands in flames . . .

glad they all made it..

A big round of applause for that pilot. He nailed that landing and
kept the nose gear right on the line.

Yep,the Pilot did a great job bringing that Airplane in for a landing.I
wonder why they didn't foam the landing strip first though? He probally
had white knuckles there for a while.Yesterday,I saw a website in Canada
about an Airline called White Knuckle Air. www.devilfinder.com

Foaming the runway would have only made it slick and harder to control
the plane. You foam the runway when a plane has to land with the gear up.

I'm surprised you bought them. Magnets don't screw up aluminium like
they do a tv screen.

He sure did, right down the strip. That was excellent flying/landing.

Actually, he apologized for being six inches off centerline. :)

Can you imagine holding a shopping cart with a wobbly wheel one tenth of
an inch down a centerline in a store? Now compare that with with that
Pilot holding that Jet Blue Airplane sideways nose wheel anywhere near
that landing strip line. The Pilot did an excellent job of bringing that
Airplane in to a safe landing.

They call them an E6B.

probally never will.I don't even like to fly,but I am hanging on to them
anyway.Do Pilots still use E6B's?

Any pilot worth his salt and desiring to live performs the
calculations in one way or another. You can uae the old mechanical
E6B as I do or you can use the new electronic calculator style or you
can do the calcs with pen and paper. I don't know many folks that
use pen and paper.

I still use mine. They are quite simple to use and and you would
figure it out in no time at all.

Well,I like all kinds of old gadgets and junk.(but it's not all junk) I
own a bunch of old Slide Rules too.Of course,I don't know how to use
them either. When I was in Saigon,I bought a Curta Calculator at an
Indian (India) store for eighty eight Piasters.I remember the Indian
guy (the propierter of the store) said, yeaty yeat Piaster. At that time
in 1964,yeaty yeat Piasters yequaled yallmost yeaty yeat American
yollars.
