Godwin's Law was made up by someone that didn't want to discuss anything
being akin to Hitler or Nazism.

For example, it would not and could not be applied to any discussion about
the Holocaust, skinheads, WWII, etc.. and should not be applied to any other
discussion because the easiest way for something like the Holocaust to
happen again would be to ignore similarities.
