FS: C. Crane Co. Select-A-Tenna AM Radio Antenna

For sale: C. Crane co. "Select-A-Tenna" original AM radio antenna.
Works great and comes with instructions. Doubles the weak signal
sensitivity during daytime. Has slight crack near base but is barely
noticeable and does not effect antennas performance. $20 obo plus
shipping costs.

Please reply if interested.

thanks,
CTV

I will pass.I bought one of those Select-A-Tennas from ccrane about
eight years ago.It did not help any of my old radios at all nor did it
help the ccrane new radio I bought at the same time from ccrane either.I
sent all of that stuff and the Sangean ATS 909 (whatever it was radio)
radio I bought from ccrane a week later back to ccrane company.

They work pretty well actually. The effect is less noticeable on easy
to hear stations. They improve the Q of the built-in antenna quite
markedly on weak signals.

Well, maybe the Select-A-Tenna I bought for about $57.00 eight years ago
from ccrane company was a dud and the Tiny Tenna I bought for about
$10.00 about nine years ago was a dud too.I am not interested in trying
out those brand names of antennas again and neither am I interested in
trying out Sangean radios again either. They are not going to bite me
ever again.

I could wrap some wire around a round cardboard Oatmeal box and make a
better antenna than that.
