You are simply trying to distinguish a difference. There is no difference.
Both Islam and Christianity had their murderous "Crusades" - semantics. The point is Islam continues on with its murderous "Crusades". Whether you wish to delineate the semantics or not is irrelevant. wrote in message oups.com... You just tried to change the arguement in a desperate attempt to win debating points. The Moslems did not take up the Cross and go Crusading. What I wrote was correct. The expansion of Islam was no bloodier than other conquests from that era, and their relatively small numbers forced the Saracens to be less bloodthirsty than the Visigoths, Goths, Vandals, Lmobars, Suevi, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Norsemen, etc. Many (most?) Christian communities in north Africa and the Levant certanly survived and thrived under Fatimites and the Hamdanids. You have been taken in by the Crusader propaganda. |
