has the world gone crazy ? (Ebay as proof ?)

in the past month I have observed the following crazy auctions:

a Sony 6800 without the original box or accessories go for over $2000
a Drake R7 in unknown configuration and condition wiithout the original box
for over $2000
A Sony ICF-2010 go for over $1100
A Sony 6700 without original box is currently over $500 and still going
A Radio shack DX-302 go for $275
A Sony ICF-5900 without the original box go for over $500
and there were others

these people have some serious screws loose !!!!!!

is it a sign of the end of all sanity ??? first global warming, now this
????

should we all see the chicken little movie ???

I noticed a few of those myself, particularly the 6800 since I also have
one. Made me tempted to sell mine, but I really suspect there was something
fishy going on since the two high bidders were both new, and the winner was
overseas. I think a lot of these have something else behind it, rather than
legitimate bidding.

I was thinking the other day, wouldn't this be the perfect way to move money
overseas? Set up a couple of Paypal accounts, and stage fake auctions. We
don't know if there ever was an actual Sony 6800W delivered, or if it even
existed.

That info doesn't really surprise me. I've sold to at least a dozen overseas
Ebay buyers in the last few months and will continue to as long as things go
well. All of them were very professional and paid dearly for the items.
Several of them actually thanked me for selling internationally since few
people do. Sellers who aren't afraid to ship internationally will make lots
more than those who only want to do US sales. There's many wealthy foreign
buyers wanting our stuff.

I get them phishing "ebay" emails (and "paypal" and s..t) once in a
while in my webtv email inbox.(they can't touch my computer, even fbi and
cia and Wild Horses can't touch my computer's email inbox,,, not the way
I have it set up!,,, random samples of Light) Every morning,a few clicks
on my cute little wireless webtv keyboard,I dump all of that s..t out of
there.
