Comparing the Icom IC-R75 to the Eton E1 Radio - Three Major Problems . . .
Steve - The Reverse Point is Also True !
The Eton E1 'portable' AM/FM Shortwave Radio is a Very Good "Portable" Radio : But many 'radio experts' try to compare it to a Desk Top Receiver like the Icom IC-R75 Receiver; simply because they are in the same price range. Saying that the Eton E1 Radio is lacking because it does not have : DSP, Twin BPT, Noise Blanker, Automatic Noise Filter, Optional Filters, ETC. The Reality Is - That "By Design" the Icom IC-R75 Receiver is a Desk Top Radio and NOT a 'portable' Radio; and should NOT be expected to run off a Set of "D" Cell Batteries. Yes -The Arguement was an Exercise in the Absurd and I Would Guess by all the Replies - It Worked ! All are WELCOME to Join the Eton E1 AM/FM Shortwave Receiver with XM Satellite Radio Group on YAHOO !
