I listen to Armed Forces radio regularly on 7811 and 5446.5, but
haven't heard them since the hurricane hit Florida a while back. Is
this just due to conditions or was their equipment damaged? Anyone
know?

No idea about the hurricane, but seem to have been off for a month or more.

Maybe they are scrapping it as it was ostensibly a temporary service to begin
with as I recall.

The station on Diego Garcia has not been reported to be on for a very long time
now.

I just noticed that they're back on the air on 12133.5, 7811 and 5446.5
khz.
