The best portable since the icf 2010!
Reviewer: EricB from Kalamazoo, mich on Sat Nov 05 08:48:25 EST 2005 4 out of 5 found this review helpful This radio has it all! It has every high tech reception aid available I.e. sync detector that really works, passband tuning, and three band widths. As a swler for over 20 years the only thing that could do better is a table top that would cost you over $1000.00. As for all other aspects of the radio it does fantastic! Also the xm is thrown in to boot. the only thing i found was the external antenna connetion gets warm not very but noticeable. Over all the radio gives you great bang for your buck! I use mine every day with great results! www.circuitcity.com |

1700 presets? Why? If you've ever suffered the pain and anguish of only 1699 presets you wouldn't be asking why. Hardly a day goes by when I don't regret my earlier decision. If only I had that *one* extra preset option, my life would be complete. mike |

Have heard on it many Latin Americans & Africans below 8 MHZ with just the whip. And on MW (AM BCB), during Oct, had audio on 28 Trans-Atlantic frequencies- Europe, Africa & Middle East, using the small Radio Shack loop. George S., MN |

I think 111 memory pages each have country name for up to 10
frequencies, plus there are 500 alpha-numeric frequencies where one could enter station & time or whatever, & on those the settings are remembered like sync on/off, AM, LSB or USB, bandwidth, even PBT offset. I actually hope to use most of the presets, they stay stored indefinitely. George S., MN |

Please, stop making me laugh. dxAce Michigan USA I got Kampuchea, Columbia and Deutche Welle in one week (on cassette) on a Rat Shack Sangean clone ten years ago just doing casual SWL. Too bad it was stolen shortly afterward with the tape. |
