CB Radios will work ok up to about 14 miles,providing there are no
hills,mountains,tall buildings in the way.They can reach out much,much
further with the right antenna and amplifier and at night time.I once
listened to an 18 wheeler truck driver guy one night out on I-20 here in
Jackson,Mississippi talking on his CB Radio to another guy in New
Zealand.
