Sony 7600 GR Radios

Thanks for the information.I read in this news group a few months ago
that Sony isn't making the Sony 7600 GR radios anymore I checked
www.jr.com website and they list them at $149.88 each plus about
$5.95 shipping & handling charges.I was wondering if another reliable
company has them for sale at a less price? I won't be toting the radio
anywhere though,it will sit on an end table by my couch.Which store or
stores sell the AN-LP1 antennas? I own a Panasonic RF-2600 radio which I
bought brand new about thirty years ago.Are the Sony 7600 GR radios
suppose to be better for dxing?

Hi Cuhulin,

I, too, have a Panasonic RF-2600 which I like quite a bit for its
pleasant audio. I think for dxing on the SW bands, you'll prefer the
selectivity of the '7600GR. For tuning in to a loud, clear broadcast,
though, you might well prefer the '2600 for the nice audio quality.
