Spare a thought for us in the Southern Hemisphere.
Temps at my QTH will run 105F/43C and the tropical summer thunderstorms blot out any idea of decent DX until at least the equinox in March. Imagine eating my Christmas turkey in that heat - only saving is the lovely local champagne at $3 a bottle that will be carefully chilled.
