Default Just Ordered The Sony 7600GR

I think you will like it a lot. Both portables are good ones.

I think you will like the keypad layout and the traditional volume
control. After 1+ yrs of the 1103 (which I have come to appreciate
more), I still find the awkward volume control set up to take away from
the fun of using it.

I thought the lack of tuning knob might be hard to get used to on the
7600g(r) but it wasn't for me. There are two pairs of up/down keys
depending how much "territory" you want to move.

Both are quite good on sideband. There are times when the synch detect
of the 7600g(r) will make a difference on AM.

You've got yourself two good travel sized portables.
