still nothing - Sangean ATS 505 ???Help

- You don't mention going over to a window at night, sticking the whip
outside and tuning around..

Try at 5.000 Mhz and SLOWLY start tuning towards 7.000Mhz

Take your radio outside when you go.. go to a small park..

attach 20 feet of wire to the whip and tune around

You'l catch somehting..

take the radio to a friends house
at least a mile or so away from where you live and try it agn
just to make sure you don't have such a high noise level
where you live that you can not pick up any weak signals

if you still can not hear anything but static on any short wave band
then you do have a bum receiver

Well. tried all above tonight..still nothing. Like I said AM (from
Montreal to Ohio) & FM work great but I'm getting nothing on SW. Will
return the radio for another one. THanks for the pointers and help
everyone. I'll let you know what happens with the replacement. I'm
surprised I can get the AM & FM but not SW... oh well - back to the
factory. THanks again for all the pointers, very helpful.
