I don't see anything there at that time either which doesn't necessarily mean
anything as something new might be there, but another possibility exists and
that is an image in your receiver.

Lisa,

Could your rcvr be off frequency??? During the time period of 2000 to
2100 hrs Radio Portugal is on the air with sports programs-Soccer games in
Portuguese. The two frequencies that they use are 15540 to the Americas using
100kw and also 15555 from 1400 to 0000 hrs at 100kw to the Americas. I hear
them often with broadcasts of Soccer games. Good Listening and
DX!!!

That *might* be it! I'm gonna try to listen again next cycle to see if I
pick it up again . . .

Lisa,

On eham.net, you'll find that the first reviewer for the Grundig Mini
300 noted that his unit was "usually reading 5khz high across all of
the bands."

see: http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/4761

So, if the displayed frequency occasionally reads off by 5 kHz, it
could well be that your 15545 @ 20:15 sportscast was actually the 15540
kHz RPI program and your 7115 @ 03:22 actually R. Republica on 7110
kHz.

If this is the case, then you'll find that your new Kaito '1101, being
a PLL synthesized unit, will receive these transmissions 5 kHz lower
than what your Mini 300 was displaying.

Best of listening to you.

She corrected the frequency to 15455, but your point is certainly still valid.
