I'm using a RF Ststems EMF Antenna (purchased about 4 ywars ago fron
Universal). I live om the first floor of a 3 story apartment building. and use it with all my receivers Yhe building id brick . I mounted it along the ceilingalong an outside wall that is appeoximately North/ South It is about 11 feet from the ground outside including the foundation. I've been an SWL fornearly 50 years and have been living here nearly 13 years. The antenna is very low noise and is passive (not amplified). I've tried numerous antenna (both commercial and home brewed and this is as close toa decent outdoor antenna that I've found. I do a lot of utility monitoring includin HF Fax and have copied and decoded over 100 countries . These are all lowerpowered then Intl Broacasters). It is important to run a good groun to the receivers (even a cold water pipe woks well here. My receivers are on the same table as my computer, I read in an older post here where someone made an EMF type antenna, but I'm not sure how well it did. Hope this helps.
