Coming in extremely strong and in the clear here on the Gulf Coast.

10 over 9 with good audio on the Kiwa modified Icom R75, 50 db on the
RCA CR-88A and spectacular audio through the big 10" speaker.

Wasn't making it up to the higher latitudes very well when I checked at 1845.

That's not too surprising as the BBC left the frequency at 1900.

I would suspect that their 21.470 is beamed for Caribbean consumption during
daylight hours.
That and places in the Southeast US. It might be capable of reception in
Ohio but probably best with a decent portable and 10 to 30 foot wire
antenna.

Actually it's directed to Southern Africa. But there is always 'back of the
beam' propagation.

I heard it on 21MHz on Saturday also. Weak but easily readable.
