Brainwave!
I just had an idea i have a tv antenna plug in my room.I was wondering
if i had a plug so i could plug it with an antenna plug andat the other end have a 3.5 mm jack for my radio.Would it work? im just wondering because if it did it would make an *awesome* antenna.Just thinking a bit it is probably a silly idea so feel free to laugh. Yours truly Adam |

Yours truly Adam IMO- Not a good idea. The TV antenna jack in your room is probably connected to coax cable which is shielded and would not be a good antenna for shortwave. You could also pick up a lot of noise from televisions which are connected to the system and possibly other appliances in the house. OTOH- If the TV jack is connected to flat unshielded TV wire, you might get some improved shortwave reception but the noise could still be a problem. |
