I am fairly certain that is it because of the music. It fades in and out. I hear it very reliably on 15485 during weekend days East Coast time (1500-2200 UTC). It is so loud that I suspect it's a relay somewhere in the Americas (Sackville? Maybe not, it comes in much more loudly and reliably than Radio Canada as of late!) and it often comes in when the rest of the band is comparatively dead. And then I hear it on 7475 in the evenings too. According to 2006 Passport blue pages 15485 @ 1500-2200 UTC is relayed by Delano, USA. However at other times and frequencies you can get them directly from Kavala and Avlis Greece. Besides Voice of Greece they relay VOA and other stations. I stand corrected. Those two sites and especially Kavala, Greece are busy transmission sites so they are on many hours of the day and night. There are many opportunities to get them directly but mostly in languages other than english. -- Telamon Ventura, California |
