The current solar situation is certianly not helping any either. That being said, is there an antenna that is sheilded or a loop antenna that i could build? My apartment is a studio and there is no roon for an outdoor antenna(which would pick up more noise anyway). I have an ANLP-1 active loop as well, which reduces the noise a little bit...but still not enough to enjoy listening. Vertically polarized antennas pick up more manmade noise than horizontally polarized antennas. So switching from a whip or random wire to a horizontal dipole may help. It won't solve all of your problems, but might make things a little better. bob k5qwg |
