Default Question regarding Deoxit products

So, looking at the Caig website, there is the following run-down on
three product lines:

DeoxIT - Contact Cleaner & Rejuvenator - Brings Old Systems Back to
Life!

DeoxIT Gold (formerly ProGold) - Contact Conditioner & Protector -
Maintains New System Performance!

DeoxIT Shield (formerly PreservIT) - Contact Protector - Maintains New
System Performance in Severe Environments!

Okay, so the first of these, DeoxIT is the D5 stuff that everyone in
here seems to use for cleaning purposes. I guess, then, that this is
what I"m in need of. My question is this: what is this DeoxIT Power
Booster that Radio Shack sells along w/DeoxIT Gold? Link below:

http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...tPa ge=search

Asking because, if it's the case that this Power Booster is the same
product as the D5, I'd prefer to pick it up, rather than order it
online.

Thanks in advance for any insight provided w/regard to the above
question...

The ad for "gold" indicates it should be used on
"gold, silver, rhodium, copper, bronze, nickel, etc." Basically, plated
contacts. I suppose that it would not be good for potentiometers.

That said, I just use the plain Deoxit on just about everything. The
only other product I use is calilube (nopefully not renamed).

Use the Red stuff to clean and rejuvenate; the Gold stuff at 1 year
intervals (give or take) for subsequent maintenance.

Default Question regarding Deoxit products

I once found a mostly empty spray can of CRC 222 at a scrap metal yard
about twenty years ago.The best stuff I have ever used for removing
battery corrosion, yes,it was amazing to me how well it worked. When that
old can of CRC 222 ran out,I checked the industrial supply stores and
some other stores for CRC 222.Not available anymore.I haven't ever used
Deoxit before, but I very much doubt if it is much good.

Deoxit, the red stuff? Tomorrow,I need to go to the Wal Mart food store
departmental.I will stop off at the Radio Shack in that strip mall
thingy next to the food store and see if they have that Deoxit red
stuff. There is a Radio Shack store across Highway 80 from me too.

Sort of. Cramolin disappeared when the ban on CFCs went into effect.
(May have still been offered in Canada for a while after it
disappeared from the USA.) I got the distinct impression that DeOxit
was different by one or two chemicals.

DeOxit smells like tinkertoys.

DeoxIT 5 is magic! I have been an evangelist for it for 10 years now.
