And then we wonder why Americans are so stupid. TV is the great moronizer. If you actually thought about what you're watching, you couldn't stand it, so you turn your brain off and just stare blankly at the screen. Most people watch TV intently yet can't tell you what they just saw. Eventually the brain can't be turned back on again, and people go through their lives with a glassy stare. |

Gives you lots of people to feel superior to, which I'm sure you enjoy. ;-) Richard |

You betcha! And while you're at it, don't forget "mindless" and don't forget "trash"... While we're having this Constitutional Crisis and new round of sabre rattling toward Iran CNN is covering ''Puppy Smuggling'' and Fox continues to make the missing Aruba Party Girl story #1. |

The tabloids have been breathlessly covering Miss ****faced for MONTHS. She's dead and thrown to the sharks. No wait, she was sold into sex slavery. No wait, she ran away because she was pregnant. No wait, she's buried in the sand dunes. Give it a rest. I'd hate to be the poor girl's mom. It's like Chandra Levy, the press covered it for six full months, until 9-11. You'd think that they have nothing better to do than report on cute white women who go missing. |
