Recruitment never implies acceptance.

You can spin this however you want, but they solicited my input, by
letter (in direct contradiction to your statements) and the phone
number mismatch caused them to drop the solicitation -- even though
every other fact matched, and it was, after all, my number. It's just
not connected to a phone, that's all.

Spin as hard as you want -- it just shows how far out of touch with
the actual listening public you are.
