Bought eton E-100 at Radio Shack for slightly over half-price!

I got an eton E-100 yesterday, listed as $69.97 Clearance ($99.95 list
price), with an additional 3 day special of 25% off. Paid $52.48 plus
$3.15 tax for a total of $55.63. This was in Eastern Penna.

Nice little radio especially for the price. Came with good earbuds
and a vinyl case.

It looks like RS is getting rid of some of the SW radios again (to
make room for more cell phones)!

Congrats on a good deal.

I too picked up one at my local Radio Shack. It's a great, little radio at
that price.

Do not pay heed to the idiots who will post that you should've bought
such-and-such a radio. The Eton is a nice, little radio with very good
sound quality.

The Eton will be full of images, being a sigle-conversion superhet.
Also, you will not be able to listen to hams, or utilities. Good deal
! Looks like, you both, are the idiots !

At least I don't double post!

And I identify myself!

AND, I bought it for use as a small spare radio that is great for
taking along camping. I also like to hear its great FM sound and FM
sensivity.

Also, I have had a previous Ten-tec single conversion radio that had
little or no image problems so your one-size-fits-all description of
single conversion radios is not always valid. Have you listened to
this model? If not, keep your opinions to yourself.

Maybe because he hasn't been able to get the same great deal? LOL

Some people are jealous when someone else has something they don't.

Every review I have read confirms what you have written. It is a good
radio that will deliver a lot of stations. Like all other compact
portables it was never designed to be a DX machine, but it will allow
you to listen to a great number of broadcast stations on MW, SWand FM.
And it looks pretty good too.
