Hello all, I've inherited my dads old Hammarlund 129, (actually, This
radio was by my bedside all my growing years), well my father passed away three weeks ago and I got this beloved radio. It hadn't been fired up in 20 years and there is simply no audio output.`I fully plan to recap this rig, but I'm not sure this is the problem. All tubes fire up, no I have not tested them yet. You fellers have any clues to a possible problem? T6 audio transformer bad?? How do you test this transformer...The electrolytic cap measures excellent voltage at all three terminals, not shorted to case. This will be my first radio restore, and any help is greatly appreciated...Thank You...Randy |
