Default Smallest CB radio

Hi guys/gals,

Looking for the smallest CB radio (mobile not handheld) that I can find
that can be modified easily enough (tuneup). Looking to put this in a
jeep wrangler where space is at a premium.

I haven't owned a CB in 15 years, so to say the least I don't know
anything about them other than reading some old usenet archives.

I was looking at the Galaxy 929 mobile. Is there anything smaller than
this? I am looking to spend under 200 plus the modding. I appreciate
any help and pointers in the correct direction. Thank you!

I have a thread basically on the same issue over on
rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys

You might want to join in on the thread. From what I hear the other
radios have issues with reliability and that Galaxy is your best bet as
far as reliability.

I have a Radio Shack TRC-503 in my Cherokee. Its VERY tiny, but works well.
I added a power mic, and a nice tall antenna and it gets out just fine. You
can get them new for less then $50.00

Cb'ers should use small radios because they have small brains and
small balls.

Right, I asked her and she said yours weren't small, she said you didn't
have any at all.
