i was just wondering, i see a company such as M2 has a nice 2m and
--440 eggbeater'' style of antennas but i couldn't find anyone making one for higher freq such as 1296 etc my thought was that it wasn't marketing related so what happend at that band that makes a eggbeater 'poor'/inefficient?? thanks |

so what happend at that band that makes a eggbeater 'poor'/inefficient?? Most users find they need 20 db gain, just to get out of their backyard. Rick K2XT |

In addition, a 0dBd horizontal antenna at 1296 is not all that useful. Dale W4OP |

For low power situations regular TV quality components can be used. The concept can be seen at http://213.250.83.83/~jerry/. Jerry |

Rick K2XT ok thanks all i over looked the obviious , thought it might have some use for testing or what ever but if you need 20 to '''get out of the backyard'''' it says it allthanks |
