Hi you all there!

I need to build an antenna preamplifier for the FM band.So after a short looking i found the follow Fets:BF198,BF199,BF173 to design
my equipment.Will this choice could be better?Do you know some other FETs/TRs for this purpose?Thank you.

Those transistors aren't FETs, just silicon npn transistors for
RF applications. You can find the datasheets at

The good are are pretty cheap, mine was a Wineguard and it worked great.The
only other one I have tried that really gave an improvment in sensitivity
was made by Blonder Tongue. There are a lot of others that just provide gain
and can actually make reception worse.
