Default FCC ordered to stand-down, Eduardo!

"Lawmakers order FCC to stand down; put actions on hold"

"Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) and Representative Henry Waxman (D-CA)
today called on FCC Chairman Kevin Martin to put the agency's actions
on hold unless they are urgent or required by law. Rockefeller's and
Waxman's committees both have jurisdiction over the FCC... If the FCC
indeed must stand down (an FCC spokesperson said they are reviewing
the order right now), then the WCS-SDARS issue - and even the HD Radio
mandate - would likely be put on hold until the new administration
moves in."

"Kevin Martin's FCC Dysfunctional"

"The Committee staff report details some of the most egregious abuses
of power, suppression of information and manipulation of data under
Chairman Martin’s leadership. It is my hope that this report will
serve as a roadmap for a fair, open and efficient FCC under new
leadership in the next administration.”

Yippie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obama rocks! Here comes iBiquity's investigation
- I sent Obama's FCC transition team everything they needed; she
thanked me and routed it to some other individuals:

Dear Ms. Crawford and Mr. Werbach,

I was reading a post on Radio-Info.com that you have been appointed by
President-elect Obama to review actions at the FCC. I realize that you
are probably very busy, but many broadcasters are very upset over the
FCC's decision to support iBiquity's HD Radio/IBOC. IBOC is jamming
our airways, especially on AM radio, and now the FCC may approve a ten-
fold increase in IBOC power for the FM band, and try and force HD
radios into Satellite Radio receivers. Non-HD broadcasters are losing
revenues, due to interference, but the FCC keeps supporting this
hijacking of our public airways.

I hope that President-elect Obama brings many changes to Washington,
especially at the FCC. The FCC is an especially corrupt organization,
catering to special interest groups, such as the National Association
of Broadcasters (NAB) that supports this jamming of our airways.

I have researched this situation with HD Radio for two years and have
created my own blog. I would appreciate, if you could take a few
minutes and look over the section on the FCC:

Thank you,

Barack Obama is used to having his way. Interestingly, he is not a fan
of people pointing out when he’s lying about things like civil rights,
especially that pesky Second Amendment.

That’s why Obama has a team of hired goons - some call them lawyers -
to threaten legal action against those who air his record.

under the Obama administration, the lawyers sending these letters will
be government employees.

Now is our first chance in a long, long time to bring some sanity back to
radio licensing, spectrum utilization etc. Write to Senator Rockefeller and
Representative Waxman and urge them to initiate reassessment of forced
conversion to digital TV in a time when most of us barely can afford
groceries, dissolving the two conglomerates that essentially own all radio
stations in America and bringing some honor back to radio licensing instead
of the giveaway licenses that hams now receive.

Their addresses a

Senator Jay Rockefeller
531 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20510

Representative Henry Waxman
2204 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515

And while you're at it, send a letter off to Joe Biden :

Vice President-Elect Joseph R. Biden
1105 North Market Street, Suite 2000
Wilmngton, Delaware 19801-1233

Cut and paste your letter to President Elect Obama at his website,
www.change.gov
(mail is being returned).

AND LET'S ALL HOPE FOR THE BEST.

Giveaway licenses? I paid over $30 to take the tests and another $30 to
buy all the answers.

WAY too late to stop this. No need to anways, since everybody already has
cable or has (or at least has ordered) the low cost (or free) converter box.
Plus every TV station in the country has spent the time and money getting
ready for the switch over.

Nope, ain't gonna happen.

in a time when most of us barely can afford groceries

Yet you can afford a computer and internet access! Good to see you have
your priorities.

"When they came for the Jews, no one stood up to object.
When they came to take away the guns, no one stood up to object.
When they came to take away personal freedoms, no one stood up to object.
When they came to take me away, no one stood up to object."

So is it too late to fix our horrible economy? Or would you prefer to sit
there and sling your insipid comments about "well I guess you have your
priorities because you have a computer?" You sir are an idiot and don't
understand the big picture.
