So I go to listen to one of my favorite radio programs, Radio Taiwan
International at 0200 UTC on 5950 kHz as I've been doing for what seems like forever, and I just get some kind of "woosh woosh woosh " electronic sound. I tried my G5, my KA1102, my Sony ICF7600D, my G6 Aviator... all the same. Any ideas? Regards, Cato |

I am not sure that your subject heading question connects up with the
primary text of your post. How does WYFR come into the picture ? No mention of it in your post.... James |

I've now heard in some other radio groups that everyone has heard the interference noise. It ended about 0307Z with RTI broadcasting continuing to the Western U.S. and Western Canada. Some have described it as a woosh woosh type of noise, others described it as a thump, thump type of noise. No word on what caused it. But it lasted for much of the first hour of RTI's broadcast to Eastern North America. |
