Default Q: Navy RBV-1 panadaptor (400KC)

I came across one of these panadaptors. Its almost identical
to the Army version (BC-1032 ?), but this one has an IF
of 400 KC +/- 50KC. Does anyone have any idea what
receiver(s) it was used with? I'll probably try to convert
it to a 455KC IF so its usuable with receivers I have, but
before doing that I'd like to get some more info about it.
TIA.
Steve
