Hi, I am in the UK & am interested in trying a Par Electonics Omniangle
OA-144. I have come up against the problem in that they are not available here, I know Universal Radio used to stock them , however they are listed as discontinued, they would not export to UK anyway. I have been in touch with Par Electonics , who manufacture them & have been advised that they will not export to the UK either, they also stated that they only deal with Amateur orders about 7 days a month on a variable basis , so even if I came over, I could not guarantee to hit their ordering period. So I have 3 questions, 1. Has anyone got a surplus OA-144 they would be willing to export to the UK 2. Would anyone be prepared to source one from Par Electonics & export it to the UK 3. Has anyone got the technical details for one, particularily what is in the matchbox, is it only a 1:1 current balun or is there other jiggery pockery going on in there, so that I could attempt a hombrew version.
