Default Another Hypocritical GOP Congressman Apologizes for Nude Swim in Israel

"A Republican congressmember has apologized to his constituents
after a report emerged saying he had gone skinny dipping in the Sea of
Galilee during a fact-minding trip to Israel last year. Several
Republican members of Congress took a late-night swim in the sea, some
reportedly motivated by religious fervor. But Rep. Kevin Yoder of
Kansas apparently went a step further by jumping into the sea naked.
The late-night incident, which also involved alcohol, drew a strong
rebuke at the time from House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and
reportedly prompted the FBI to investigate for inappropriate behavior.
More than 80 members of Congress were on the trip, which was sponsored
by a charity affiliated with the pro-Israeli government lobbying group
the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC."

80 members of Congress on a first class deluxe vacation paid for by
a Jew "charity". Gosh I wonder what the Jews will receive in return?
It is astonishing how the errand boys in Congress no longer even
feign to hide their abject corruption.

Who cares?

Evidently the larger point is lost on you. Nonetheless, I think the
U.S. taxpayers care about the results of such vacations considering
Israel has cost them about $1.6 TRILLION since 1973. See
http://www.csmonitor.com/2002/1209/p16s01-wmgn.html for the details.

Normally I would agree with you, but if he is a "holier than thou" tea
bagger, his behavior might be indicative of hypocrisy. If HE didn't
think it was wrong, why did he feel an apology was necessary?

And a lot of hypocrisy has been making the rounds lately in the
Republican party, Paul Ryan for example.

Ryan is on record as being strongly against the "stimulus funds". Fair
enough -- if he would stick to his guns. Unfortunately, he got caught
with his pants down when two letters came to light on HIS stationery and
with HIS signature asking for stimulus funds. This incident got him a
"two fer"...he was shown to be a liar AND a hypocrite in one fell swoop.

On second thought, maybe he and the Mittster are made for each other --
both are master flip-floppers.

A politician that is a hypocrite! What a shocker! Only fools care about
what a politician says and does. You probably vote, too. Voting is opium
for the masses. Voting gives the masses the illusion that their vote
actually means something.
