Im working on a new project, and it contains a 2A12 ballast tube. I powered up this unit briefly after replacing electrolytics, and while the other tubes glowed happily, I saw nothing from the ballast. This is the first one Ive seen, so I dont know if it should glow. My Simpson 445 tube tester wont test this. I see 88 ohms resistance between pins 2 and 7. Nothing between any of the other pins. So, should a ballast tube emit a visible glow?... 2A12 ballast tube... |
