Reason is the worldwide 15 kHz allocation for amateur radio on the 60 m band and the renewed IARU Region 1 bandplan. The current WSPR frequency is set outside of this allocation, allowing only a small group of amateurs to transmit. The group of Dutch amateurs suggest changing the dial frequency to 5.3647 MHz and are already experimenting on this frequency. This way many more amateurs can also transmit,...
