I hope some of you will remember but I built the EB63 kit and substituted
MRF455's for the MRF454's. I was told by an RF Engineer thet 2SC2290's are often substituted and should work fine. I have them now but have a few questions. I looked at a schematic for a Texas Star DX250 because it uses 2SC2290's. I noticed that the transformers both have 3:1 ratios instead of the 4:1 in the EB63. Should I go ahead and change both of mine to 3:1? Can anyone think of anything else that should be considered here. Thanks, Chris |
