It joins 105.5 WXBN Berryville, which had dropped its Country B105 programming shortly after the sale of WINC-FM was announced last month. While the 104.9/105.5 simulcast will continue to allow WINC-FM to serve the Winchester market, the station will lose its large coverage over Northern Virginia, the West Virginia panhandle, and parts of Maryland and Washington DC following the move. /////////////////////////////////////////// Jubal Show Comes To Phoenix Posted: 17 Nov 2020 07:21 AM PST https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...es-to-phoenix/ Riviera Broadcasting Hot AC Hot 97.5/103.9 KMVA Dewey-Humboldt/KZON Gilbert AZ has added The Jubal Show for mornings. Muller joined WLS at the end of 2018 after hosting mornings on defunct Classic Rock 97.9 WLUP. He previously co-hosted 9-11am at WLS with Pat Cassidy in 2008 and 2009. He is best known for his runs in mornings at “Rock 103.5” WRCX from 1994-1998, Alternative “Q101” WKQX from 1998-2006, and WLUP from 2015-2018. Earlier in his career he co-hosted mornings at KBEQ Kansas City, KDON Salinas, and KYLD San Francisco and later hosted a show for Talk Radio Network. In explaining his departure, Muller told Robert Feder, “Much of the enjoyment I had left doing radio has been sucked out of it. Alone in an office building with no guests and endless rules is not my idea of a creative process. . . . For me, no interaction has been the radio kiss of death. Talking during this political season and hearing endless tales of woe from my listeners has been radio without joy.” Mullers contract was set to expire at the end of the year and Cumulus Media VP/Market Manager Marv Nyren told Feder the decision was mutual and that neither side had initiated negotiations on a contract renewal. /////////////////////////////////////////// iHeart Cuts Honolulu Morning Hosts For Mocking Singer's Childhood Homelessness During Charity Event Posted: 17 Nov 2020 05:41 AM PST https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...charity-event/ Two members of the Island 98.5 KDNN Honolulu morning show have been let go after mocking a singers struggle with homelessness and childhood hunger while growing up. Slick Vic Harris and KreyZ Oshiro were hosting a radiothon for The Hawaii Foodbank when after a story from musician Paula Fuga describing that she dealt with homelessness and hunger as a child. Mocking her for eating out of a trash can, Harris asked whether she ate right out of the can or put it on a plate first. When she asked for tissues she was offered a trash can just in case she was hungry. Fuga would walk off in tears stating Kids, even as an adult, there will still be jerks who make fun of you and your pain. I mean, what the hell is your problem? I’m so sad right now. I don’t want to sing.” Video of the segment is embedded below. iHeartMedia and Fuga are going to work on a coordinated campaign that will support a statewide mission to end hunger in Hawaii. The third member of the KDNN morning show, Rory Wild, remains with the station. /////////////////////////////////////////// 106.7 The Ride To Move To Jockless Presentation Posted: 17 Nov 2020 05:09 AM PST https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...-presentation/ Signal Media Country 106.7 The Ride KHLR Benton/Little Rock AR will be moving to a jockless presentation.
