NO
Cell and cordless are illegal. You should already know that by your Comcast address. On Thu, 15 Apr 2004 19:39:26 -0400, "Mitch Selko" wrote: Is there anyway to modify the Pro 96 to pick up cell & cordless phone transmissions??? |

... Is there anyway to modify the Pro 96 to pick up cell & cordless phone transmissions??? Doubt you can modify it for cell phone frequencies (almost all cell transmissions are now digital anyway). Cordless phone freqs can still be monitored in the typical 49 and 900 mhz ranges without modification. The cordless phones that operate in the Gigahertz ranges are obviously not able to be heard with this scanner. This is all not to mention the fact that it's illegal in the US to intentionally monitor cellphone and cordless phone frequencies. ![]() -- 73! de Andy KC2SSB http://shorecogs.tripod.com AIM: shorecogs |

I've owned several that were modified when I bought them (2004 and pro34) and it didn't take long to figure out that it wasn't worth the effort. I have a 2006 that I purchased new that still has all it's little diodes intact. RM~ |
