There's a whole hierarchy for amateur radio, rec.radio.amateur.* including one for DX. It's not fair to listeners to bring most amateur radio topics to rec.radio.shortwave This newsgroup is intended for monitoring of radio (and though it's got "shortwave" in the title, it was intended right from the beginning to not be limited to shortave, hence AM and FM broadcast fits in). So in trying to put an on-topic thread here, you've actually gone off-topic. Michael |

![]() "J999w" wrote in message ... Plenty of places to argue politics. But it's more fun here! Anyone listening to the CQ WW contest? Nah! Just a bunch of jerkoffs running illegal power and splattering 20kc's either side of their centre freq, all just to get their callsigns listed in some stupid magazine. An utterly pathetic exercize in RF insanity. (beside's...it's almost time for the Liberty kooks Net on 3.950 +/- 10kc if they can find a place to do the Sat evening goose step. much more amusing than the CQ WW Clowntest) jw K9RZZ |
